Corporate health screening
Your health screening questions, answered
Everything you need to know before, during and after your workplace health screening with 1doc — from preparing on the day to reviewing your results with our doctors.
Preparing for your screening
What should I do before the health screening?
Please have no food for at least 2 hours before your health screening. Plain water is allowed.
If you choose to self-pay for an Ultrasound Liver/Abdomen, you will need to fast for 6–8 hours. Please allow an extra 30 minutes to an hour (excluding waiting time) for additional tests.
How do I collect urine and stool samples for my appointment?
- Urine sample (½ bottle): collect a mid-stream urine sample at the clinic during your screening.
- Stool sample (pea-sized): collect the night before — no more than 12 hours before your appointment.
- Write your name (in capital letters) and NRIC/FIN on the stool bottle.
Can I still take my medication before the health screening?
If you take medication for high blood pressure or other prescribed medication, please continue your usual routine.
If you are diabetic and on food restriction, please omit your anti-diabetic medication that morning.
Can I do a urine or stool test during my menstruation?
Please avoid booking your appointment during your menstrual cycle. We recommend arranging your appointment 10 days after your period.
About the tests
What do I need to know about the eye screening and ECG test?
Eye screening: please do not wear contact lenses, and bring along your glasses.
ECG test: please wear two-piece clothing, as you will be asked to remove your top.
What is a Bone Mass Density test?
A Bone Mass Density (BMD) test measures how much calcium and other minerals are in your bones. It helps your healthcare provider detect osteoporosis and understand your risk of bone fractures.
On the day
Can I attend the screening if I am unwell or on medication?
Please do not attend the screening if you have a fever or are feeling giddy. Remember to reschedule your appointment in the 1doc app.
How long will the whole screening take?
Approximately 1–2 hours per person, including waiting time. Please arrive at your appointment time so we can keep the queue moving.
How can I make payment?
Payment can be made by NETS, credit card or PayNow on the day of your screening via the 1doc app.
Can I walk in for a health screening without an appointment?
To provide prompt and fair service, we prioritise pre-scheduled appointments. We are sorry that we are unable to accept walk-ins for health screening.
Can my family members be screened too?
If your family members would like a health screening, we can provide a booking link to your HR or person-in-charge after the on-site event.
